AUTHENTICATION OF WORKS BY HANS / JEAN ARP AND SOPHIE TAEUBER-ARP

Together with the Fondation Arp, Clamart and the Stiftung Hans Arp und Sophie Taeuber-Arp e. V., Berlin/Rolandswerth, the Fondazione Marguerite Arp registers works by Hans / Jean Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp in its archive. If necessary, the Fondazione Marguerite Arp consults its experts.

Procedure:

1. Appraisal request
   The procedure begins with the applicant sending an official “Work Appraisal Request” to the email address info@fondazionearp.ch

2. Preliminary study
   The foundation performs an initial study.
   Cost: between 200 and 500 CHF

3. Request for a certificate of authenticity
   If the results of the preliminary study (point 2) suggest the work may be ascribed to Hans / Jean Arp or Sophie Taeuber-Arp, the applicant may request a certificate of authenticity.

4. Detailed study
   On receipt of a request for a certificate of authenticity, the foundation will perform a detailed study on the work in question. The study must take place at the Fondazione Marguerite Arp.
   Cost: 1000 CHF

5. Issue of the certificate of authenticity
   In those cases where the necessary conditions are fulfilled, the Fondazione Marguerite Arp will issue a certificate of authenticity.
   Cost: 200 CHF

Please note:

1. The Fondazione Marguerite Arp does not issue certificates of authenticity for works in plaster, nor duplicates of certificates.
2. The Fondazione Marguerite Arp does not offer evaluations of works.
3. Appraisals are carried out once or twice a year. The dates will be given on request.
4. The Fondazione Marguerite Arp works with the following external experts:
   Rainer Hüben, former curator at the Fondazione Marguerite Arp;
   Walburga Krupp, former curator at the Stiftung Hans Arp und Sophie Taeuber- Arp e. V., Berlin/Rolandswerth.
